1. About Synapse and these terms
This website is operated by Synapse Digital Care, an independent sole proprietorship based in Ibadan, Oyo State, Nigeria. By using the website, you agree to these terms. Separate written terms, quotations, consent documents, or provider terms may apply before a paid or patient-specific service begins.
2. Website purpose
The website provides general information and ways to enquire about telemedicine access, patient transport and medical logistics, specialist referrals, second opinions, treatment coordination, and partnerships. Website information may change and is not a promise that a particular service or destination is available.
3. No emergency service
Synapse Digital Care is not an emergency service. Do not rely on the website, email, booking page, or WhatsApp for urgent medical help. Contact the appropriate local emergency service or attend the nearest emergency facility.
4. No diagnosis through the website
Website content is general information. It does not provide a diagnosis, prescription, or personalised medical advice. Clinical decisions are made by appropriately qualified healthcare professionals within the scope of their professional relationship and applicable rules.
5. Enquiries and service acceptance
Sending an enquiry or booking a conversation does not guarantee that a service, provider, referral destination, appointment, transport arrangement, or treatment pathway is available. Synapse reviews each request individually and may decline or redirect a request when the proposed support is not appropriate or available.
6. Pricing, payment, and cancellation
Pricing is provided after assessment of the request and proposed service. Website information is not a binding quotation. Any applicable fee, payment timing, included work, third-party cost, cancellation position, and refund condition should be communicated before paid work begins. Healthcare, transport, travel, visa, accommodation, and provider charges may be separate from Synapse’s coordination fee.
7. Coordination and independent providers
Synapse may coordinate access, communication, documentation, referrals, and logistics. Healthcare professionals, hospitals, laboratories, transport operators, travel providers, and international referral organisations may be independent third parties responsible for their own decisions, professional duties, services, and charges.
8. International referrals
Provider acceptance, clinical suitability, treatment decisions, timing, costs, visas, immigration, and travel permissions are controlled by the relevant professionals, organisations, and authorities. Synapse does not guarantee any of those decisions or a clinical outcome.
9. Your responsibilities
You are responsible for providing accurate general information, identifying when you act for another person, following clinical and travel instructions from the responsible professionals, reviewing proposed costs and terms, and promptly communicating material changes. You must not represent coordination information as a diagnosis or guarantee.
10. Responsible website use
Do not misuse the website, attempt to interfere with its operation, impersonate another person, submit unlawful content, or knowingly provide false or misleading information. Do not send highly sensitive information through the public enquiry form.
11. External services and links
Vercel, Resend, Google Calendar, WhatsApp, email providers, and other linked services are operated under their own terms. Synapse does not control every external service and cannot guarantee its availability, security, content, or continued operation.
12. Intellectual property
Unless otherwise stated, the Synapse Digital Care name, logo, website copy, and original design elements may not be reproduced or presented as another organisation’s work without permission.
13. Disclaimers and liability
Synapse will use reasonable care in providing any service it expressly agrees to provide. To the extent permitted by law, Synapse is not responsible for clinical decisions made by independent professionals, third-party refusals or delays, travel or immigration decisions, external-service failures, or outcomes that cannot reasonably be controlled. Nothing in these terms excludes a responsibility or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded.
14. Changes, governing law, and severability
These website terms may be updated when the service model or applicable requirements change. Nigerian law applies, subject to any mandatory rights or jurisdiction that cannot lawfully be displaced. If one part of these terms is unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue to apply to the extent permitted by law.
